We have a highly skilled team of dentists and hygienists and they are excellently supported by a caring and helpful team. Whatever your dental needs, we aim to meet them here at Loughrea Dental.

Dr. Sarah McMorrow B.D.S., D.Clin.Dent.

I graduated from The Dental School in Newcastle upon Tyne, England and spent a further few years working in a busy NHS practice in the UK. When I returned to Ireland I completed the Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Trinity College. I opened Loughrea Dental Practice in 2011.

I was delighted and humbled to be awarded Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist of the year in 2011.

I enjoy my job immensely and especially enjoy putting patients at their ease and making their visit to the dentist as pleasant as possible.

I take great pride in my work and constantly strive to keep up to date with new developments and techniques so that I can continue to provide my patients with the best quality dentistry.

Ria Fanning – Dental Hygienist

Ria Fanning – Dental Hygienist

Ria started her dental career in 2008 as a dental nurse and qualified from Athlone Institute of Technology in 2010. For the following 2 years Ria worked in orthodontics and general dentistry, where she developed a keen interest in periodontology. She then returned to study in University College Cork and graduated with honours as a Dental Hygienist in 2014.

Ria is very gentle and takes great pride in helping even the most anxious patients achieve a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime.

Catherine Daly

Catherine Daly – Dental Hygienist

Catherine began her dental career in 2014 when she qualified as a dental nurse from LYIT. Since then, she has worked in specialist dental practices in Dublin, Limerick, and Galway where she gained valuable clinical knowledge, skills and experience. Oral health was always a passion for Catherine; so in 2016 she gained a degree in Oral Health Education and Promotion from NUIG. Catherine then went on to study Dental Hygiene in University College Cork.

Her friendly, empathetic manner and passion for her job makes patients feel completely at ease. Catherine prides herself on treating nervous patients sympathetically. She offers a high standard of care while managing all types of worries, thereby ensuring her patients are always comfortable in the dental chair. Preventive oral hygiene and education are core to Catherine’s ethos in treating her patients.

Amy McMahon – Practice Manager

From Craughwell and living in Athenry, Amy has over a decade of experience working as a dental nurse. She graduated with a distinction in Dental Nursing through the Dublin Dental Hospital and is registered with the dental council.

Amy has worked in two leading practices before joining our team in 2022 and has a special interest in endodontics and patient care. Amy has her AED and CPR certificates and is always on hand to answer any patient questions.

Outside of work, Amy loves her horses and spends her time competing throughout Ireland.

Bernie Burke – Dental Nurse

Bernie is an Athenry native. A busy mother of two children, she has the patience and skills to help make sure your visit is a pleasant one.

She enjoys helping nervous patients feel more comfortable in the chair.

Debbie Creaven– Dental Receptionist

Originally from the U.K., Debbie joined Loughrea Dental in September 2023. Debbie has had a long successful career in Customer Services and is the welcoming face at our reception desk. She is always available to answer your queries regarding dental treatments.

Debbie has a keen interest in Motorsport, Gardening and loves walking with her dog.
